Meet the team

Ever since I was a kid I've had a real passion for the care and well being of animals! I was always bringing something home from baby birds and squirrels, to stray cats and dogs. My family called me little Ellie May. I went to the art Institute of charlotte for interior design, and shortly afer I had a job at a local grooming parlour called A Dogs Best Friend. I apprenticed under Jennifer Worth and eventually changed my career field to grooming. After some time I wanted to learn more about animals and went to Penn Foster for a veterinary technology degree. I worked as a Vet Tech (veterinary nurse) for a good 3 years and learned 6 different body systems, cytology, diet and nutrition, behavioral health, dental cleaning, reading radiography from x-rays, and even pulling blood and placing catheters and monitoring surgery! It was a great field but I was always drawn back to grooming and making my furry friends feel good and look good!

In March of 2020, I decided to open my own mobile grooming business and it was the best decision I've ever made! I'm so proud of my staff, and so grateful for our clients. We can't wait to service new clients and keep providing excellent care to our existing ones.

  • I have been working with dogs since 2016 from managing at a dog daycare, petsitting and helping Gaby with the dog's she groomed from home. I struggled on deciding what career path I wanted to follow but ultimately my best work days were those I got to spend playing with and caring for dogs. I decided to start learning to groom and have had the chance to work with Gaby and Lizzy as I grow in this field. I'm looking forward to becoming one of your dog's new best friends!

  • I picked up my first pair of clippers when I was just 16 years old. I practiced grooming on the many dogs that came into my stepmom's rescue with some guidance. After moving to the Carolinas I had the chance to learn from a few more groomers and decided to turn my hobby into a career. I love the artistic aspect of grooming dogs and there's no better way to spend my day than with all the furry friends, it truly doesn't even feel like work! When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, two cats, ball python, and Brandon! I look forward to meeting you and your pups!!

  • Growing up I have always been obsessed with animals, literally ALL of them furry to slithery! I knew at a young age I wanted to work with animals. Growing up my mom and I would always take in stray dogs and I have never had a time in my life I didn’t have an animal specifically a dog. When I was 14 I started volunteering at a zoo and when I turned 16 they offered me a job as a big cat animal caretaker. The first nail clip I ever did was on a 300lb Tiger😅.

Originally I wanted to go to college to be a zoologist but then I started helping my friend with grooming all her show champion American cocker spaniels and helping family members groom and take care of their dogs. I fell in love with it. It allowed me to be able to embrace my creativity while also still being able to work on animals.

In 2003 when I graduated high school instead of going on to college to become a zoologist I went to the South Carolina School of Dog Grooming in Irmo, SC to become a certified dog groomer. Grooming went from being a profession for me to being my passion. I’ve been grooming for 19yrs now and I still learn new things and information of the trade by continuing education so I can stay up on the latest trends and techniques.

I love working on these animals and the special bond you have while grooming them. When I’m not grooming I am rescuing animals and nursing them to health particularly reptiles and I also enjoy bonding and play sessions with my 3 dogs Gemma (Akita/malinois), Jager (Belgian Malinois) and Taza (Chow Chow).
